Location
The walls define a large enclosure which contains the lighthouse and its associated buildings.
History
Enclosing walls to lighthouse complex, originally containing also the allotment gardens of the keepers' dwellings to the E. C19, visible in 1886 John Thomas photographs.
Exterior
Rough rubble walls, rendered, originally whitewashed, with raking copings.
Reason for designation
An important part of the original layout of the lighthouse compound, and part of a coherent group of structures associated with it.
