Cadw's description

Pont Faen is situated on the N side of the A482, 0.3km W of Ciliau Aeron.

Early C19, shown on the 1844 Tithe map.

Rubble built. Broad hipped slate roof, close timber eaves. Tall three bay front, each bay with recessed high round arch, blank to sides, both with a loop: entry to centre with boarded doors and timber lintel. Stone voussoirs. Loop to left end. Right end partly collapsed.

In deteriorating condition (summer 1995).

Large and well designed early C19 barn, equal in quality to the Home Farm buildings of nearby Llanerchaeron, to which Pont Faen belonged.
