Cadw's description

Situated on W side of A482, some 150m NW of cross-roads.

Early/mid C19. This road was managed by the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust, which was set up in 1770.

Low painted milestone with rounded top. Inscription (partly following curve) reads: "Aberayron 8 miles. Lampeter 5".

Listed for historic interest as a survival of early road transport history.
