Cadw's description

Located in the verge on the E side of the B4385 in the detached section of Churchstoke, not far from Montgomery.

Rectangular, sandstone upright with rounded top. A cast iron plate also with rounded head is fixed to the front face. It is painted white, though now rusting and has a rim which is painted black. There is small square shaped recess below the plate which might once have contained a bench mark. The plate displays letters in relief, which read:

Listed as a milestone characteristic of turnpike roads. Association with other milestones along the B4385 and a toll house.
