Cadw's description

Located on the N side of the B4385 in the grass verge in Mellington.

C18. Rectangular, sandstone upright with rounded top. A cast iron plate also with rounded head is fixed to the front face. It is painted white and has a rounded, black painted rim. The stonework above is also painted white. There is an inscribed bench mark below it. The plate displays letters in relief and in capitals, which read:
