Location
Located in the road verge, 115m approximately E of a trackway climbing the cutting, and on the community council border and opposite a lay-by.
Exterior
c.1830. A round topped fine sandstone pillar with tooled edge, later painted, bearing incised lettering in sans-serif capitals reading, around top H[ere]FORD, and below, 22/ MILES - GLASBURY / 3 . Damaged at the top.
Reason for designation
Included as a relic of the turnpike organisation of the main road in the early C19.
