Located on the road verge, almost opposite Little Eames, E of the crossing of the road by the Hay to Brecon tramway.
Exterior
Description: Late C18 turnpike milestone. A sandstone pillar with a finely rubbed face, ending with two arcs below the rounded top. Incised lettering reads
HAY / 6 / BUILTH / 13
the last number having been altered from the erroneous 11.
Included as a monument to the turnpike era of road transport
