Cadw's description

Situated to the south of the cast houses and adjoining the site of the
western-most one.

Built before 1880 for engineering purposes and used laterally as storage sheds.

Two adjoining single storey brick buildings. The building is of brick and has an irregular plan. It has a large doorway with sliding doors in its gable end wall and bricked up openings in its other elevations. The pitched roof is of corrugated iron. Built against the rear of the larger building is a brick chimney, square in its lower part, and angling inwards to a circular, partially demolished upper part.

Part of Scheduled Ancient Monument Mm 200.

Included for its group value as part of the internationally important Blaenavon Ironworks.
