The building is constructed of uncoursed squared lias limestone with Forest of Dean ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. Original part of one storey, later extension of two storeys to rear. Plain Gothic cottage style. North-east elevation to street of one storey, two bays with right hand bay wider and gabled and with one 3-light mullioned window with segmental relieving arch; left hand bay with doorway with pointed head. Oculus in gable, coped gables, ridge tiles, stack on rear wing. North-west elevation facing school entrance with gable end with single light window and with 2-light window behind in the cross wing. To rear, later 2-storey extension in similar style.
