Cadw's description

At pierhead on W bank of River Tawe and downstream at entry to S Dock.

Later C19 (possibly ca1880).

Compact 2 storey red brick structure with tall crenellated (outlook?) tower to N end. Slate roofs (stripped at time of inspection). Segmental arched window heads to 1st floor, lunettes to ground floor, fixed small-pane glazing. Brace-plates to tower top; plinth, outside stair with ironwork handrail to 1st floor boarded doors. Small 1 storey gabled extension to S end. Boarded interior to upper room with panelled doors.

Undergoing restoration at time of inspection (May 1986).
