Cadw's description

Situated some 300m down lane off B4476 about 1km S of Prengwyn.

Dated 1832

Farmhouse in whitewashed rubble stone with stone end stacks, that to S end larger, and slate roof. Two-storey 3-window front of small-paned sashes, 9-pane above, 12-pane below and centre door. Slate sills and cambered stone heads. Paired brackets to flat eaves. Sashes are hornless, door is 5-panel, one glazed. Above door is 'D Charles 1832' plaque. Rubble end walls and attic windows. Outshut rear.

At farmyard entry is curious stone pillar with vertical slot that apparently held pulley wheel carrying drive from waterwheel at foot of the hill to a demolished mill.

Standard centralised plan. Large cambered beam to S end fireplace.

Listed as a good early C19 farmhouse in little altered farm courtyard.
