History
Shown on map of 1834. Composer Richard Hughes born here in 1855.
Exterior
4-storey rendered structure, 3-windows to Bridge St and Great Darkgate St and 1-window to the splayed corner. Hipped slate roof concealed by plain parapet; long brick chimney stack. Small pane sash windows, modern shop front to No 1 and Victorian shop front to No 2 with bracket cornice and ornate fascia end to left; Corinthian colonettes to window, half glazed door. Panelled door to No 48 Great Darkgate Street to the right of the Royale shop front.
