Herv.Kerk en toren op verhoogd kerkhof. Eenbeukig drie traveeën diep kerkgebouw, dat ondanks zijn bescheiden afmetingen een zuiver voorbeeld is van de Groninger Romano-gotische bouwtrant. Boven een spitsboog-zone zijn de vensters van de eerste en derde travee geflankeerd door nissen met siermetselwerk. In de sluiting drielichtvensters. Jongere toren met groot spitsboogveld in de tweede geleding en traptoren tegen de noordzijde. Inwendig twee romano-gotische en in de westelijke travee een gotisch gewelf. Tussen tweede en derde travee enig in Nederland gespaard gemetseld romano-gotische oxaal, waarop houten galerij met orgel uit 1531 waarin briefpanelen; in de houten deuren die het oxaal sluiten renaissance-snijwerk en briefpanelen. 17e eeuwse preekstoel met gesneden kapstokbord en klankbord. Eenvoudig doophek. Herenbank met gesneden bekroning en hoekvullingen. Overige banken met gesneden lijsten; zes 17e eeuwse predikantszerken. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, ca. 1920.

Description
Reformed Church and tower on elevated churchyard. Single-aisle church building three bays deep, which despite its modest dimensions is a pure example of the Groningen Romanesque-Gothic building tradition. Above a pointed-arch zone the windows of the first and third bays are flanked by niches with decorative brickwork. In the closure three-light windows. Younger tower with large pointed-arch field in the second stage and stair tower against the north side. Internally two Romanesque-Gothic and in the western bay a Gothic vault. Between second and third bay the only Romanesque-Gothic gallery preserved in the Netherlands as masonry, onto which wooden gallery with organ from 1531 wherein letter panels; in the wooden doors that close the gallery Renaissance carving and letter panels. 17th-century pulpit with carved hat-rack board and sounding board. Simple baptismal gate. Pew for gentlemen with carved cresting and corner fillings. Other benches with carved mouldings; six 17th-century minister's gravestones. Mechanical tower clock, circa 1920.
