Omschrijving
Raadhuis. In 1638 opgericht rechthoekig gebouw op een galerij beneden voor de waagruimte. Voor het schilddak een halsvormige top met schelpmotieven, boven de vensters en met natuurstenen banden doorregen. Grote gebeeldhouwde gevelsteen met Justitiafiguur; later in de richting van de direct ten zuiden gelegen kerk uitgebreid. In de raadzaal schilderij door A. Hendericx voorstellende gezicht op de stad en een plattegrond van de vernieuwde toestand in 1400. In de secretarie schoorsteenboezem uit vierde kwart achttiende eeuw. Voorts een gevelsteen met stadswapen 1554 afkomstig van de voormalige toren en een tekening door J.H. van Calker van deze toren voor de afbraak in 1834.

Description
Town Hall. Erected in 1638 as a rectangular building on a gallery below for the weighing house. Above the hipped roof a neck gable with shell motifs, above the windows and interspersed with bands of ashlar. Large sculpted façade stone with Justitia figure; later extended in the direction of the church situated directly to the south. In the council chamber a painting by A. Hendericx depicting a view of the city and a plan of the renewed state in 1400. In the secretariat a chimney hood from the fourth quarter of the eighteenth century. Furthermore a façade stone with city coat of arms 1554 from the former tower and a drawing by J.H. van Calker of this tower before its demolition in 1834.
