Omschrijving
Ned. Herv. Kerk. In oorsprong slotkapel van de heren van Almelo. Kruiskerk, waarvan het zandstenen koor uit 1493, het transept en het schip uit 1738 dagtekenen. Consistoriekamer (XVIII) ten zuiden van het koor. Aan noord- en zuidzijde ingangen met gebeeldhouwde bekroning. In de meest oostelijke koorwand een dichtgemetselde spitsboogvenster met traceringen. Inwendig: Eiken preekstoel (XVIII) van elders afkomstig; Gebeeldhouwde herenbank (XVIII) en tocht-portaal (XVIII). In het koor graftombe van Rechteren 1772.

Description
Protestant Church. Originally castle chapel of the lords of Almelo. Cross church, of which the sandstone choir dates from 1493, the transept and the nave from 1738. Vestry room (18th century) to the south of the choir. On the north and south sides entrances with carved crowning. In the most eastern choir wall a bricked-up pointed-arch window with tracery. Interior: Oak pulpit (18th century) from elsewhere; Carved lords' bench (18th century) and draught vestibule (18th century). In the choir burial monument of Rechteren 1772.
