1. MOLEN
"Blauwe Molen". Poldermolen van de Blauwe polder aan de noordzijde van de Achterwatering bij Hoogmade. Achtkantige houten molen op gemetselde voet, in 1904 van elders overgebracht.
2. OVERTOOM
1 Inleiding
Waarschijnlijk vlak na 1883 geconstrueerde OVERTOOM. De overtoom of overhaal is gesitueerd in de Blauwe Polder op de kruin van een dijkje tussen de Oude Ade, die de Blauwe Polder doorsnijdt en het boezemwater de Achterwetering, die de begrenzing vormt tussen de Blauwe Polder en de Hoogmadese Polder. De overtoom werd gebruikt voor het over de dijk trekken van de polderbok, een houten vlet van het polderbestuur, die kon worden gebruikt door de boeren die land in de Blauwe Polder hadden. De overtoom staat bij de poldermolen de "Blauwe Molen" (mon.nr.7124), waarmee hij een bijzonder ensemble vormt. De overtoom behoort tot de laatste in ons land, maar heeft zijn functie inmiddels verloren.
Omschrijving
De overtoom is een relatief eenvoudige, houten sleepconstructie, bestaand uit een draagstel van twee palen met elk twee schoren, die dienden ter ondersteuning van een zogenaamde windas, waaromheen een - niet meer aanwezige - ketting werd gewonden. Deze windas is aan beide uiteinden voorzien van een uit vier spijlen samengesteld rad. Met behulp van de raderen kon men de windas laten draaien en zodoende met handkracht de aan de ketting bevestigde schuit van het ene water naar het andere trekken. Diverse onderdelen van de overtoom zijn in de loop der tijd vernieuwd. In 1980 heeft nog een grondige opknapbeurt plaats gevonden, waarbij het object grotendeels is vernieuwd. De dijktaluds zijn oorspronkelijk waarschijnlijk voorzien geweest van een houten bekleding. Van deze bekleding is tegenwoordig (dd. 1996) niets meer over. De bij de overtoom gelegen houten platbodem schuit is een vletschouw, die qua type afwijkt van de hier oorspronkelijk gebruikte polderbok.
Waardering
- De overtoom is cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang vanwege het belang voor de geschiedenis van de Nederlandse polders in het algemeen en die van de Blauwe Polder in het bijzonder.
- De overtoom heeft grote ensemblewaarde vanwege de bijzondere samenhang met de poldermolen de "Blauwe Molen", waarmee hij een visuele en min of meer functionele eenheid vormt.

Description
The overtoom is a relatively simple wooden hauling structure, consisting of a supporting frame of two posts, each with two braces, which served to support a so-called windlass, around which a chain – no longer present – was wound. The flat-bottomed wooden boat located at the overtoom is a lighter-scow, which in type differs from the polderbok originally used here.
