Omschrijving
Parochiekerk van de H.Franciscus Xaverius ("De Krijtberg"). Door Alfred Tepe van 1881-1883 gebouwde driebeukige kruisbasiliek met galerijen en vijfzijdig gesloten koor, geflankeerd door diagonaal geplaatste kapellen. Rijk gedetailleerde, in baksteen uitgevoerde voorgevel met op de hoeken traptoren. Het schip heeft schoorbogen. Het zeer rijzige en met zijn inrichting gaaf bewaarde interieur vormt een belangrijk tijdsdocument als schepping van de door de inzichten van het St.Bernulphusgilde geleide neogotiek.

Description
Parish church of H. Franciscus Xaverius ("De Krijtberg"). Built by Alfred Tepe from 1881-1883 a three-aisle cross basilica with galleries and five-sided closed choir, flanked by diagonally placed chapels. Richly detailed front facade executed in brick with stair towers on the corners. The nave has flying buttresses. The very lofty interior, preserved intact with its original fixtures, forms an important historical document as a creation of the Neo-Gothic style led by the ideas of the St. Bernulphusgilde.
