Oven 8, onderdeel van het fabriekscomplex ENCI (Eerste Nederlandse Cement Industrie), werd in 1968 gebouwd en werd ontworpen door ENCI-ingenieurs met een aanvullende rol van architect P.H. Dingemans. Oven 8 bestaat uit een functioneel en fysiek samenhangend geheel van gebouwen en industriële artefacten, met onder meer een mergelbreker, boven- en ondergrondse transportbanden, kelders, een mengbed, silo’s, schoorsteen, cyclonentoren, filtergebouw, ovenbuis en een klinkerhal.

Description
Oven 8, a component of the factory complex ENCI (Eerste Nederlandse Cement Industrie), was built in 1968 and was designed by ENCI engineers with an additional role by architect P.H. Dingemans. Oven 8 consists of a functionally and physically cohesive whole of buildings and industrial artefacts, including amongst other things a marl crusher, above and below ground conveyor belts, cellars, a mixing bed, silos, chimney, cyclone tower, filter building, oven tube and a clinker hall.
