Omschrijving complexonderdeel 23: Verdiepte 19de-eeuwse TABLETTEN- of ZAAIKAS op rechthoekig grondplan onder een zadeldak waarvan de 3 glasgevels, vanaf het maaiveld gezien, op een lage bepleisterd bakstenen voetmuur met dorpel zijn geplaatst. De kas is tegen de oostgevel van de Palmenkas gebouwd waardoor de bakstenen westgevel in breedte ongeveer voor twee derde de oostgevel van de Palmenkas is. In deze gevel is een grenen toegangsdeur met borstwering en 3 staande ruiten. Een deel van de borstwering is niet zichtbaar omdat het verdiepte gedeelte van de kas tot op het niveau van het huidige maaiveld gevuld is met grond. De beide lange gevels zijn 25 ruiten breed en vanaf het maaiveld, de lage borstwering en een ruit hoog. De hogere top of oostgevel is 13 ruiten breed en draagt samen met een boogspant van ijzeren pijp de nokgording die eveneens van ijzeren pijp.

Description
Description of complex component 23: Sunken 19th-century SHELF or SEED HOUSE on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof, the 3 glass elevations, viewed from ground level, are placed on a low rendered brick plinth wall with sill. The house is built against the eastern elevation of the Palm House so that the brick western elevation in width is approximately two-thirds the eastern elevation of the Palm House. In this elevation is a wooden access door with a breast wall and 3 standing panes. Part of the breast wall is not visible because the sunken part of the house is filled with soil to the level of the current ground level. Both long elevations are 25 panes wide and from ground level, the low breast wall and one pane high. The higher top or eastern elevation is 13 panes wide and carries together with an arch rib of iron pipe the ridge girder which is also of iron pipe.
