Omschrijving onderdeel 8:
TOEGANSGHEK tot de buitenplaats, gelegen in de hoofdas ter hoogte van de Lageweg, afkomstig van een pand aan de Nieuwegracht in Utrecht en in de jaren zestig van de twintigste eeuw hierheen verplaatst. Het hek bestaat uit twee hoge, decoratief bewerkte zandsteen pijlers met casementen bekroond door een oorschelpornament in elke van de vier zijden en bekroningen in de vorm van vazen, waartussen grote vernieuwde draaihekken. Aan weerszijden vernieuwde hekdelen met draaihekken ter plaatste van de paden.

Description of component 8:
ACCESS GATE to the country estate, situated on the main axis at the level of the Lageweg, originating from a building on the Nieuwegracht in Utrecht and relocated here in the nineteen-sixties. The gate consists of two tall, decoratively worked sandstone piers with casements crowned by a scallop-shell ornament on each of the four sides and crowns in the form of vases, between which large renewed swing gates. On either side renewed gate sections with swing gates in place of the paths.
