Inleiding
Gebouw 24 en een annexe put liggen vrijstaand en solitair ten westen van het terrein van Kop van Deelen temidden van enig opgaand groen in verder open terrein, in de bocht van de huidige Hoenderloseweg bij het begin van de voormalige Brinkhorsterweg. Gebouw 24A is in 1940 als 'Sonderbau' gerealiseerd, om als onderkomen te functioneren voor een pompinstallatie ten dienste van de watervoorziening van het kamp Kop van Deelen, en mogelijk ook voor verdere ontginning en exploitatie van de belendende heidegronden. Op macroniveau onderdeel van een grote militaire vliegveldstructuur uit de periode 1940-1945.
Omschrijving
Onderkelderd eenlaags bakstenen POMPGEBOUW op rechthoekige plattegrond en gedekt door een met betonnen pannen belegd schilddak. Kopgevel zuidzijde bevat centraal de verdiept gelegen en via een van links dalende bakstenen trap te bereiken toegangsopening. Hierin dubbele houten deuren onder hanenkam; linksboven een klein rechthoekig venster onder strek, en rechtsboven een groter getoogd venster onder gebogen strek. Langsgevel oostzijde met twee vergelijkbare vensters; de kopgevel noordzijde met drie vergelijkbare vensters en langsgevel west met rechts twee vergelijkbare vensters en een klein rechthoekig venster. Alle vensteropeningen met trespaplaten dichtgezet. Rechts naast het pompgebouw een betonnen PUT, kolk of puls, afgesloten met een groot scharnierend gietijzeren deksel met boutsluiting.

POMPGEBOUW met PUT, van algemeen belang als zeldzaam en relatief gaaf onderdeel van een uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog stammend en door de Duitse bezetter als onderdeel van een groot militair vliegveld opgezet legerkamp, vanwege: architectuurhistorische, krijgs- en cultuurhistorische, situationele en complexwaarden, die onder meer kunnen blijken uit de voor de bouwtijd karakteristieke vormen en details, uit de in kunstmatige esdorpstructuur uitgevoerde camouflage, uit de specifieke lage ligging aan de voet van de Kop van Deelen, uit de samenhang van en met het totale militaire vliegveldconcept, en uit de functionele band met het kampement.

Introduction
Building 24 and an ancillary well stand detached and solitary to the west of the terrain of Kop van Deelen amongst some vegetation in otherwise open ground, in the bend of the current Hoenderloseweg at the start of the former Brinkhorsterweg. Building 24A was realized in 1940 as a 'Sonderbau', to function as accommodation for a pump installation serving the water supply of the camp Kop van Deelen, and possibly also for further development and exploitation of the adjoining heath lands. At macro level part of a large military airfield structure from the period 1940-1945.
Description
Partly-cellared single-storey brick PUMP BUILDING on rectangular ground plan and covered by a hipped roof laid with concrete tiles. End gable on the south side contains centrally the recessed entrance opening accessible via a brick staircase descending from the left. In this double wooden doors under a cock's comb; top left a small rectangular window under a straight lintel, and top right a larger arched window under a curved lintel. Side gavel on east side with two similar windows; the end gable on the north side with three similar windows and side gavel on west with on the right two similar windows and a small rectangular window. All window openings blocked with boarding. To the right next to the pump building a concrete WELL, basin or reservoir, closed off with a large hinged cast iron cover with bolt fastening.

PUMP BUILDING WITH WELL, of general importance as a rare and relatively intact component of an army camp stemming from the Second World War and established by the German occupiers as part of a large military airfield, on account of: architectural-historical, military and cultural-historical, situational and complex values, which may be evident inter alia from the forms and details characteristic of the period of construction, from the camouflage executed in artificial village-like structure, from the specific low location at the foot of the Kop van Deelen, from the coherence of and with the total military airfield concept, and from the functional connection with the encampment.
