Inleiding
Gebouw 3 ligt vrijstaand op enige tientallen meters afstand van en met de nok evenwijdig aan de weg, aan de zuidzijde van de voormalige Deeler Buurtweg, ten zuidoosten van gebouw 2 en ongeveer tegenover nummer 5. In 1940 gebouwd als 'Regelbau', type 'Unterkunft Groß'. Op macroniveau onderdeel van een grote militaire vliegveldstructuur uit de periode 1940-1945. Op mesoniveau deel van een ijl complex van in esdorpachtige structuur geplaatste gebouwen. Op microniveau onderdeel van een los gegroepeerde cluster van in lineair verband geplaatste gebouwen.
Omschrijving
Eenlaagse, met ca. 50 cm dik buitenmuurwerk uitgevoerde bakstenen LEGERINGSBARAK, op rechthoekige plattegrond met plint en fundament van gecementeerd metselwerk en gedekt door een onderin iets uitgezwenkt, met gegolfde betonnen grauwe pannen belegd zadeldak tussen puntgevels. Tegen de kopse westgevel een aanbouw die onder een apart, uitgezwenkt en met pannen belegd zadeldak is gebracht. Rechts in de noordgevel een kleine uitbouw onder verlengd dakschild. Op de begane grond in beide lange zijden voorzien van drie stellen vensteropeningen onder hanenkam en met betonnen kalf, waarin met roeden verdeelde dubbele houten vierruits draairamen onder en achtruits valramen boven. Vrijwel alle draairamen voorzien van in rood en wit zandlopermotief beschilderde en aan de andere zijde witte, plaatstalen luiken, waarvan er enkele bij de scharnieren zijn afgebroken. In de kopse gevels twee maal twee vergelijkbare vensters en in de aanbouw één; op zolderniveau twee maal twee vierruits vensters. De dwars geplaatste toegangsopening in de aanbouw voorzien van vlakke houten deur en verdeeld bovenlicht; tevens dubbele aantrede en stoep. De toegang op de begane grond van kopse oostgevel is dichtgemetseld; die op zolderniveau bereikbaar via klimijzers en betonnen balkon met ijzeren balustrade. Bakgoten; geschilderde windveren.

LEGERINGSBARAK, van algemeen belang als relatief gaaf onderdeel van een uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog stammend en door de Duitse bezetter als onderdeel van een groot militair vliegveld opgezet legerkamp, vanwege: architectuurhistorische, stedenbouwkundige, krijgs- en cultuurhistorische en complex- en ensemblewaarden, die onder meer kunnen blijken uit de op locale vormen geïnspireerde traditionalistische bouwtrant, uit de voor de bouwtijd kenmerkende onderdelen en details, uit de kunstmatig opgezette esdorpstructuur en tot in detaillering doorgevoerde camouflage, uit de samenhang van en met het totale militaire vliegveldconcept en de ruimtelijke hoofdlijnen en onderdelen van het kampement, en uit de onderlinge verwantschap van de hierbij toegepaste vormen.

Description
Single-storey brick BARRACKS BUILDING, with approximately 50 cm thick external masonry, on a rectangular footprint with plinth and foundation of cemented brickwork and covered by a gabled roof with corrugated concrete grey tiles, slightly angled upwards at the bottom, between gable ends. Against the gable west elevation an extension which is provided with a separate, angled and tile-covered gabled roof. On the right in the north elevation a small extension under extended roof protection. On the ground floor in both long sides provided with three sets of window openings under a rooster comb and with concrete sill, containing glazing bars dividing double wooden four-pane casement windows below and four-pane hung windows above. Almost all casement windows provided with sheet metal shutters painted with red and white hourglass motif and white on the other side, of which a few are broken at the hinges. In the gable elevations two by two comparable windows and in the extension one; at attic level two by two four-pane windows. The transversely positioned entrance opening in the extension provided with a flat wooden door and divided fanlight; also double entrance step and stoop. The access on the ground floor of gable east elevation is bricked up; that at attic level is accessible via climbing irons and concrete balcony with iron balustrade. Gutters; painted weather vanes.

BARRACKS BUILDING, of general importance as a relatively intact component of a military camp dating from the Second World War and established by the German occupier as part of a large military airfield, on account of: architectural-historical, urban planning, military and cultural-historical and complex and ensemble values, which may be evident inter alia in the traditionalist building manner inspired by local forms, in the components and details characteristic of the building period, in the artificially established village-like structure and camouflage carried through to the finest detail, in the coherence of and with the total military airfield concept and the spatial main lines and components of the camp, and in the mutual relationship of the forms applied herein.
