Inleiding
TUINHUIS, behorend bij het pand op Herengracht 326 dat reeds van rijkswege is beschermd onder monumentnummer 1805.
Omschrijving
Het tuinhuis bestaat uit één bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een naar achteren toe aflopend dak. De gefrijnde en wit gesausde zandstenen gevel telt drie traveeën waarvan de middelste risaleert. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een eenvoudige, gekorniste kroonlijst. Op elk van de pilasters draagt een saterkop de kroonlijst. Onder elke saterkop bevindt zich rolwerk. Het schuifraam met roedenverdeling in de risaliet heeft een spiegelboogvormige afsluiting. De beide zijtraveeën bevatten grachtengroene paneeldeuren waarvan de verdiepte panelen aan de bovenzijde geprofileerd worden in een vorm die refereert aan het venster in de middenpartij. Boven de deuren bevindt zich aan beide zijden een zandstenen lijst met rocaillevormen, rolwerk en in het midden een acanthusblad. Boven deze lijst is een zandstenen reliëf in de vorm van een bloemenmand aangebracht. De gevel wordt aan beide zijden afgesloten door een smalle, geblokte pilaster, welke een kapiteel in de vorm van een kussentje met kwastje draagt. De linker zijgevel is gemetseld in baksteen. De rechter zijgevel is afgewerkt met een stuclaag en staat tegen een evenwijdige, maar lagere, eveneens gestucte muur. Interieur Het interieur is verdeeld in drie ruimten: een ondiepe ruimte achter de risaliet, afgesloten door een vrijstaande muur en twee ruimten links en rechts achter deze muur. De vloer van de voorste ruimte bestaat uit zwart/witte vierkante tegeltjes. De binnenwand is bekleed met wit geschilderde panelen, In de achterste ruimten bevindt zich links een keukentje en rechts een sanitaire ruimte.
Waardering
Het tuinhuis is van cultuurhistorisch belang als representant van het achttiende-eeuwse tuinhuis, alsmede van ruimtelijk functioneel belang vanwege de relatie met de tuin en het grachtenhuis.

Description
The garden house consists of one storey and is covered by a roof sloping towards the rear. The finely dressed and white-limewashed sandstone facade counts three bays of which the middle one projects. The facade is terminated by a simple corniced cornice. Each of the pilasters carries a satyr head supporting the cornice. Beneath each satyr head is rollwork. The sash window with glazing bars in the projecting section has a segmented arch closure. The two side bays contain canal-green panel doors of which the recessed panels at the top are profiled in a form that refers to the window in the central section. Above the doors is located on both sides a sandstone band with rocaille forms, rollwork and in the centre an acanthus leaf. Above this band is a sandstone relief in the form of a flower basket. The facade is terminated on both sides by a narrow, rusticated pilaster, which carries a capital in the form of a cushion with tassel. The left side gable is built in brick. The right side gable is finished with a stucco layer and stands against a parallel, but lower, likewise stuccoed wall. Interior The interior is divided into three spaces: a shallow space behind the projecting section, closed off by a freestanding wall and two spaces left and right behind this wall. The floor of the front space consists of black/white square tiles. The inner wall is lined with white-painted panels. In the rear spaces there is on the left a small kitchen and on the right a sanitary space.
Valuation
The garden house is of cultural-historical importance as a representative of the eighteenth-century garden house, as well as of spatial-functional importance owing to its relationship with the garden and the canal house.
