Inleiding
TUINHUIS, behorend bij het pand op de Herengracht 346 en Huidenstraat 2 dat reeds van rijkswege is beschermd onder monumentnummer 1812.
Omschrijving
Het tuinhuis, daterend uit het begin van de achttiende eeuw, opgetrokken op rechthoekige plattegrond bevat één bouwlaag onder een plat dak. De houten voorgevel bevat één schuifraam met roedenverdeling en aan weerszijden een houten paneeldeur met bovenlicht. De traveeën worden van elkaar gescheiden door houten pilasters. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een eenvoudige kroonlijst. Het interieur bestaat uit één ongedeelde ruimte.
Waardering
Het tuinhuis is van cultuurhistorisch belang als representant van het achttiende eeuwse tuinhuis, alsmede van ruimtelijk functioneel belang vanwege de relatie met de tuin en het grachtenhuis.

Description
The garden house, dating from the early eighteenth century, erected on a rectangular plan contains one storey under a flat roof. The wooden front facade contains one sash window with glazing bars and on either side a wooden panelled door with fanlight. The bays are separated from each other by wooden pilasters. The facade is finished by a simple cornice. The interior consists of one undivided space.
Valuation
The garden house is of cultural-historical importance as a representative of the eighteenth-century garden house, as well as of spatial functional importance because of the relationship with the garden and the canal house.
