Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 13 (Darthuizerweg 3): VOORMALIG RECHTHUIS of De Kapel, behorend bij de buitenplaats Broekhuizen.
Gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond van twee bouwlagen onder een zadeldak. Achteraanbouw onder lessenaarsdak.
Het voorste gedeelte is het oudste en dateert uit het begin van de 16de eeuw. De achteraanbouw kwam in 1835 tot stand. Bij de verbouwing in 1835 werd het voorste deel met een verdieping verhoogd en de gevel symmetrisch ingedeeld. In het inwendige is een aantal schouwen van deze fase bewaard gebleven. De gevels zijn met grof pleisterwerk bepleisterd.
In de voorgevel bevindt zich de toegangsdeur met bovenlicht in het midden, geflankeerd door twee vierruits schuiframen. Op de verdieping vijf kleinere vierruits vensters. Het voorste deel wordt door een met riet gedekt zadeldak afgesloten.
INTERIEUR: Rechts bevindt zich de onderkelderde opkamer, de voormalige rechtkamer, waar het tongewelf in de kelder en de samengestelde balklaag met sleutelstukken van de opkamer getuigen van de vroeg 16de-eeuwse oorsprong. Het vertrek bezit een schouw tegen de zijgevel die bij de ingrijpende verbouwing van 1835 op die plaats is gehandhaafd. Het middenvertrek, direct via een deur in de voorgevel toegankelijk, was eveneens van een schouw voorzien. In dit vertrek bevonden zich rechts de toegangen tot de kelder en de opkamer, die hoogstwaarschijnlijk gecombineerd waren. Bij de verbouwing van 1835 is alleen de keldertoegang naar de achterzijde verplaatst. Description of component 13 (Darthuizerweg 3): FORMER COURTHOUSE or De Kapel, belonging to the country estate Broekhuizen.
Building on a rectangular plan of two storeys under a gabled roof. Rear extension under a lean-to roof.
The front section is the oldest and dates from the early 16th century. The rear extension was built in 1835. During the remodelling in 1835 the front section was raised with a storey and the facade was given a symmetrical layout. In the interior a number of chimneys from this phase have been preserved. The facades are plastered with rough plasterwork.
In the front facade is the entrance door with fanlight in the middle, flanked by two four-pane sash windows. On the upper storey five smaller four-pane windows. The front section is terminated by a gabled roof covered with reed.
INTERIOR: On the right is the cellared parlour, the former courthouse, where the barrel vault in the cellar and the composite floor joist with keypieces of the parlour testify to the early 16th-century origin. The room has a fireplace against the side facade which was retained during the major remodelling of 1835. The middle room, directly accessible via a door in the front facade, also had a fireplace. In this room on the right were the entrances to the cellar and the parlour, which were most likely combined. During the 1835 remodelling only the cellar entrance was moved to the rear side. The left section where once the taproom (with composite floor joist with 16th-century keypieces) and a stable (with simple, undecorated floor joist) were situated, were combined into one room during the restoration of 1972-1973.
