Omschrijving onderdeel 29: Voormalige BOSWACHTERSWONING.
De woning is gelegen in de zuidhoek van het Zuiderpark aan een oude toegangslaan. Het pand dateert van 1924 in welk jaar het werd gebouwd naar ontwerp van E.G. Baars. Het is in rode baksteen opgetrokken op vrijwel vierkante plattegrond met een hoog opgaand rieten zadeldak met wolfseind aan de voorkant. De voorgevel is asymmetrisch van indeling met een paneeldeur met zijlicht onder een luifel op inspringende consoles aan de linkerkant en een driezijdig uitgebouwde erker met afdak met platte blauwe pannen aan de rechter kant. Op de verdieping een vierlichts venster met glas-in-lood in de bovenlichten en rollaag. In de linker zijgevel twee vensters waarvan één met luiken. Op het midden van het dak een vierkante schoorsteen. In beide dakvlakken een gebogen dakkapel. Aan de achterkant een schuur onder rieten zadeldak met nokvorsten.
Waardering
De voormalige boswachterswoning is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang vanwege:

Description
Description of component 29: Former FOREST KEEPER'S HOUSE.
The dwelling is located in the south corner of the Zuiderpark at an old access drive. The building dates from 1924, the year it was built to a design by E.G. Baars. It is constructed in red brick on an approximately square ground plan with a steeply pitched thatched gabled roof with half-hipped end at the front. The front facade has an asymmetrical layout with a panelled door with sidelight under a canopy on recessed consoles on the left side and a three-sided projecting bay window with a flat roof with blue tiles on the right side. On the upper storey a four-light window with stained glass in the fanlights and a drip moulding. In the left side facade two windows, one with shutters. In the middle of the roof a square chimney. In both roof planes a curved roof dormer. At the rear a barn under a thatched gabled roof with roof ridge ornaments.
