Omschrijving onderdeel 2: bakhuis
Het bakhuis, uitgevoerd in vakwerk, staat achter de vakwerkhoeve op het adres Höfke 2 te Mechelen. Het bakhuis dateert uit de 18de eeuw, heeft (in hoofdzaak) een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt met een zadeldak. De verwerkte bouwmaterialen bestaan uit houten vakwerk, vitselwerk, rode veldbrandsteen en rode Oud-Hollandse dakpannen met daaronder stropoppen. Inwendig een lemen vloer, een gemetselde bakoven met rookvanger van vitselwerk tegen de achterwand, een bakstenen rookkanaal en, gedeeltelijk, een zoldering. De houten draagconstructie van de gordingenkap bestaat deels uit secundair gebruikt materiaal.

Description component 2: bakehouse
The bakehouse, executed in timber framing, stands behind the timber-framed farmhouse at the address Höfke 2 in Mechelen. The bakehouse dates from the 18th century, has (primarily) a rectangular plan and is covered with a gabled roof. The building materials used consist of wooden timber framing, withe work, red field-fired brick and red Old Dutch roof tiles with straw layers beneath. Internally a clay floor, a masoned baking oven with smoke hood of withe work against the rear wall, a brick flue and, in part, a ceiling. The wooden load-bearing structure of the common rafter roof consists in part of secondary reused material.

The timber-framed bakehouse, dating from the 18th century represents general interest due to:
