Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde ronde stenen molen is in 1849 gebouwd als korenmolen. Bij de bouw van de huidige molen werden onderdelen gebruikt van diverse afgebroken molens. De molen is in 1929 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen kreeg een functie als opslagruimte en is tot op heden als zodanig in gebruik. Hij is aan de noordkant uitgebreid met een loods. Deze loods valt buiten de werking van de Monumentenwet. De incomplete molen is goed zichtbaar in de omgeving.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp. De uit zes bouwlagen bestaande romp is ter hoogte van de voormalige kapzolder voorzien van een betonvloer met een luik. In de romp zijn op meerdere plaatsen secundair gebruikte onderdelen aanwezig. Dit betreft onder meer middendelen van houten molenroeden, onderdelen van een standerdmolen en onderdelen van een achtkant. Voorts zijn op meerdere plaatsen restanten van het gaande werk aanwezig. De incomplete molen is op het noordnoordoosten ter hoogte van de onderste drie zolders voorzien van een uitwendige stalen vluchttrap. Deze vluchttrap valt buiten de werking van de Monumentenwet.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen korenmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Noord-Brabant en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege de gaafheid van de molenbiotoop.

INCOMPLETE MILL. The round stone mill executed as a strutting mill was built in 1849 as a grain mill. During the construction of the present mill, components from various demolished mills were used. The mill was dismantled in 1929, whereby the sail cross, the cap, the strutting and the running gear were removed. The incomplete mill was given a function as storage space and remains in use as such to the present day. It has been extended on the north side with a shed. This shed falls outside the scope of the Monuments Act. The incomplete mill is well visible in the surroundings.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of the round conically masonry brick hull. The hull, consisting of six storeys, is at the level of the former roof floor provided with a concrete floor with a hatch. In the hull there are secondarily used components at several places. This concerns among other things centre parts of wooden mill rods, components of a post mill and components of an octagon. Furthermore, remains of the running gear are present at several places. The incomplete mill is on the north-north-east at the level of the lowest three storeys provided with an external steel escape staircase. This escape staircase falls outside the scope of the Monuments Act.
Valuation
The incomplete mill is of general importance:
- on account of constructional-historical values as a recognisable and representative relic of a round stone grain mill from the mid-19th century;
- on account of cultural-historical values as part of the history of grain mills of the Netherlands and the industrial development of North Brabant and local history;
- on account of the integrity of the mill biotope.
