Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde ronde stenen molen is in 1858 gebouwd als korenmolen. De molen was aanvankelijk een beltmolen, maar is in 1924 vanwege oprukkende bebouwing verhoogd tot stellingmolen. De molen is in 1945 onttakeld als gevolg van zware oorlogsschade, opgelopen tijdens de 'Slag om Arnhem' in 1944, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen kreeg hierna een functie als opslagsilo en functioneert met de aangebouwde pakhuizen thans als diervoederwinkel. De incomplete molen ligt ten noordnoordoosten van het nieuwe centrum, op het hoogste punt van Renkum. De aangebouwde pakhuizen vallen buiten de werking van de monumentenwet. De molen is zichtbaar in een tamelijk open omgeving.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp waarvan het bovenste deel een cilinderachtige vorm heeft. De incomplete molen is voorzien van een houten puntdak met achtkantig grondvlak dat is voorzien van een lantaarn. In de incomplete molen zijn diverse silo's aanwezig die op zichzelf niet van waarde zijn uit het oogpunt van monumentenzorg. Voorts is nog aanwezig de vroegere inrit uit de beltmolenperiode.
Waardering De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen korenmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw die in de eerste helft van de 20e eeuw werd verhoogd van beltmolen tot stellingmolen;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Gelderland en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;
- vanwege de gaafheid van de molenbiotoop.

INCOMPLETE MILL. The round stone mill executed as a gallery mill was built in 1858 as a grain mill. The mill was initially a belt mill, but in 1924 was raised to a gallery mill due to encroaching development. Description
The incomplete mill consists of the round conically built brick shell of which the upper part has a cylindrical form. The incomplete mill is provided with a wooden pointed roof with an octagonal base plan which is provided with a lantern. In the incomplete mill various silos are present which in themselves are not of value from the perspective of monument preservation. Furthermore still present is the former entrance ramp from the belt mill period.
Valuation The incomplete mill is of general importance:
- on account of constructional-historical values as a recognizable and representative relic of a round stone grain mill from the middle of the 19th century which in the first half of the 20th century was raised from belt mill to gallery mill;
- on account of cultural-historical values as part of the history of the grain mills of the Netherlands and the industrial development of Gelderland and the local history;
- on account of situational values concerning the historical integrity of the environment;
- on account of the integrity of the mill biotope.
