Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN. De als stellingmolen uitgevoerde ronde stenen molen op achtkante stenen voet uit een onbekend bouwjaar was ingericht als korenmolen. De molen heeft op dezelfde standplaats een voorganger gehad. De molen is onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen kreeg vervolgens een functie als opslagruimte en heeft thans een functie als woning. De molen is ten behoeve van de woonfunctie uitgebreid met een aantal aanbouwen die niet onder de werking van de Monumentenwet vallen. De incomplete molen staat op een opgeworpen verhoging en is zichtbaar in een open omgeving.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de achtkante verticaal gemetselde bakstenen onderbouw met daarop de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen bovenbouw. De uit zes bouwlagen bestaande incomplete molen is voorzien van een plat dak.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een deels achtkante en deels ronde stenen korenmolen;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Gelderland en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;
- vanwege de gaafheid van de molenbiotoop;

INCOMPLETE MILL. The round stone mill on octagonal stone base executed as a stalling mill from an unknown date of construction was fitted out as a grain mill. The mill had a predecessor at the same location. The mill is unrigged, with the wind sails, roof, stalling and internal machinery removed. The incomplete mill subsequently received a function as storage space and now has a function as a dwelling. The mill has been extended for the residential function with a number of annexes which do not fall under the operation of the Monuments Act. The incomplete mill stands on a raised embankment and is visible in an open environment.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of the octagonal vertically masoned brick substructure with upon it the round conically masoned brick superstructure. The incomplete mill consisting of six storeys is provided with a flat roof.
