Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN MET PAKHUIS. De voorheen als stellingmolen uitgevoerde molen is in 1895 als korenmolen gebouwd en heeft op dezelfde standplaats een voorganger gekend. De molen is aan de oostzijde voorzien van een rechthoekig bakstenen pakhuis. De molen is onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de staart, de stelling en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen met pakhuis kreeg daarna de functie van mechanische maalderij en later als opslagruimte. De incomplete molen werd in 1979 als woning ingericht en is tot op heden als zodanig in gebruik. De incomplete molen ligt aan het water van de Oude Wetering. De incomplete molen is zichtbaar in een open omgeving.
Omschrijving
Het staande werk van de incomplete molen bestaat uit het gemetselde bakstenen onderachtkant, het grenenhouten bovenachtkant en de grotendeels eikenhouten kap van een bovenkruier en een aangebouwd rechthoekig gemetseld bakstenen pakhuis. De uit zes bouwlagen bestaande incomplete molen is vanaf het gemetselde onderachtkant tot de duisplanken bekleed met potdekselwerk van houten delen en is daarboven gedekt met riet. De kap kruit op een neutenkruiwerk en is gedekt met riet. Het uit twee bouwlagen bestaande pakhuis is voorzien van een zadeldak. In de incomplete molen zijn ondermeer de pensteen in de penbalk en een stalen transmissieas alsmede diverse inscripties aanwezig.
Waardering
De incomplete molen met pakhuis is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een achtkante houten korenmolen uit het eind van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Overijssel en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege ensemblewaarden in relatie tot het bijbehorende pakhuis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende het buurtschap waar hij in staat en de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;
- vanwege de gaafheid van de molenbiotoop.

INCOMPLETE MILL WITH WAREHOUSE. The mill, formerly executed as a post mill, was built in 1895 as a grain mill and has had a predecessor on the same site. The mill is provided on the east side with a rectangular brick warehouse. The mill was dismantled, whereby the wind sail cross, the tail, the post and the machinery were removed. The incomplete mill with warehouse subsequently acquired the function of a mechanical milling operation and later as storage space. The incomplete mill was converted into a dwelling in 1979 and has been in use as such to the present day. The incomplete mill is situated on the water of the Oude Wetering. The incomplete mill is visible in an open environment.
Description
The standing work of the incomplete mill consists of the masonry brick lower frame, the pine-wood upper frame and the largely oak-wood roof of a top-driven mill with an adjoining rectangular masonry brick warehouse. The incomplete mill, consisting of six storeys, is clad from the masonry lower frame down to the boarding boards with pantile work of wooden components and is covered above with thatch. The roof rests on a collar-tie framework and is covered with thatch. The warehouse, consisting of two storeys, is provided with a gabled roof. In the incomplete mill are present among other things the grinding stone in the stone beam and a steel transmission shaft as well as various inscriptions.

The incomplete mill with warehouse is of general interest:
- on account of constructional-historical values as a recognisable and representative relic of an octagonal wooden grain mill from the end of the 19th century;
- on account of cultural-historical values as part of the history of the grain mills of the Netherlands and the industrial development of Overijssel and of the local history;
- on account of ensemble values in relation to the associated warehouse;
- on account of situational values concerning the hamlet where it stands and the historical integrity of the surroundings;
- on account of the integrity of the mill biotope.
