Inleiding
MOLENRESTANT. De wipmolen met de naam 'Plukkopmolen', uit een onbekend bouwjaar, was ingericht voor de bemaling van de polder Lexmond c.a. en voorzien van een inwendige molenaarswoning en een scheprad als wateropvoerwerktuig. De molen is omstreeks 1926 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, het bovenhuis en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. Het molenrestant kreeg een functie als woning en is tot op heden als zodanig in gebruik. Het molenrestant ligt aan de oostzijde van de Oude Zederik, circa 250 meter ten noordnoordwesten van de 'Vlietmolen' van de polder Lakerveld.
Omschrijving
Het molenrestant bestaat uit een lage gemetselde bakstenen voet met daarop de houten piramidevormige ondertoren van een wipmolen. Het uit twee bouwlagen bestaande molenrestant is gedekt met riet en voorzien van een plat dak.
Waardering
Het molenrestant is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een wipmolen;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als essentieel onderdeel van de ontginnings- en waterstaatkundige geschiedenis van Zuid-Holland en de Vijfheerenlanden in het bijzonder en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege ensemblewaarden in relatie tot de 'Vlietmolen' van de polder Lakerveld;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de belendende waterlopen en het open polderlandschap.

MILL REMAINS. The jib mill with the name 'Plukkopmolen', from an unknown building year, was fitted out for the drainage of the polder Lexmond c.a. and provided with an internal miller's dwelling and a scoop wheel as a water-raising device. The mill was dismantled around 1926, whereby the sail cross, the upper house and the running gear were removed. The mill remains were given a function as a dwelling and have been in use as such to the present day. The mill remains are situated on the east side of the Oude Zederik, approximately 250 metres to the north-north-west of the 'Vlietmolen' of the polder Lakerveld.
Description
The mill remains consist of a low mortared brick base topped by the wooden pyramidal form of the understructure of a jib mill. The mill remains, comprising two storeys, are covered with thatch and provided with a flat roof.
Valuation
The mill remains are of general importance:
- on account of building-technical and historical values as a recognisable and representative relic of a jib mill;
- on account of cultural-historical values as an essential component of the reclamation and water management history of South Holland and the Vijfheerenlanden in particular and local history;
