Inleiding
MOLENRESTANT. Deze wipmolen is vermoedelijk in de eerste helft van de 18e eeuw gebouwd en was ingericht als poldermolen voor de bemaling van de Kleine Winkelpolder en voorzien van een inwendige molenaarswoning. De molen is in 1932 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, het bovenhuis, het scheprad met houten schepradkast en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. Het molenrestant heeft thans een functie als logeerruimte/berging. Het molenrestant ligt ten westen van Abcoude aan de zuidzijde van het riviertje de Winkel.
Omschrijving
Het staande werk van het molenrestant bestaat uit een lage gemetselde bakstenen voet en de houten piramidevormige ondertoren van een wipmolen. Het uit twee bouwlagen bestaande molenrestant is met riet gedekt en is voorzien van een overstekend plat dak. De incomplete molen is voorzien van een gevelsteen met de tekst: '1912'.
Waardering
Het molenrestant is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een wipmolen;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als essentieel onderdeel van de ontginnings- en waterstaatkundige geschiedenis van Utrecht en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de belendende waterlopen, het open polderlandschap en de historische gaafheid van de omgeving.

Introduction
MILL REMNANT. This scoop mill is presumed to have been built in the first half of the 18th century and was fitted out as a polder drainage mill for the drainage of the Kleine Winkelpolder and provided with an internal miller's dwelling. The mill was dismantled in 1932, whereby the sails, upper mill house, scoop wheel with wooden scoop wheel casing and operating machinery were removed. The mill remnant now serves as guest accommodation/storage. The mill remnant lies west of Abcoude on the south side of the Winkel stream.
Description
The standing structure of the mill remnant consists of a low built brick base and the wooden pyramid-shaped understructure of a scoop mill. The mill remnant consisting of two storeys is thatched and is furnished with an overhanging flat roof. The incomplete mill is provided with a stone plaque with the text: '1912'.
