Inleiding
MOLENROMP. De in 1842 als stellingmolen gebouwde ronde stenen bovenkruier was ingericht als korenmolen. De molen is in 1932 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis en de stelling werden verwijderd. Het gaande werk werd in 1939 verwijderd. De molenromp kreeg een functie als opslagruimte. De molenromp ligt in een maalderij- en opslagcomplex met een T-vormige plattegrond. Tegen de romp staan twee hoge gemetselde aanbouwen die niet onder de werking van de Monumentenwet vallen.
Omschrijving
De molenromp bestaat uit de ronde gemetselde bakstenen romp die vanaf het voormalige stellingniveau opvallend getailleerd is, terwijl de bovenste rand met een bijzondere insnoering is uitgevoerd. De thans uit vier bouwlagen bestaande molenromp is voorzien van een parapluvormig houten dak dat is gedekt met zink. Op het dak staat een blokvormige verhoging. De molenromp is voorzien van een gevelsteen met daarop aangegeven een aantal afkortingen en het bouwjaar van de molen.
Waardering
De molenromp is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen korenmolen uit het midden van de 19e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als onderdeel van de geschiedenis van de graanmaalderijen van Nederland en de industriële ontwikkeling van Overijssel en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de historische gaafheid van de omgeving;
- vanwege de zeldzaamheid van zijn bijzondere taillering.

Introduction
MILL HULL. The round stone Dutch smock mill built in 1842 as a post mill was fitted out as a grain mill. The mill was dismantled in 1932, whereby the sails and the gallery were removed. The machinery was removed in 1939. The mill hull acquired a function as storage space. The mill hull lies in a milling and storage complex with a T-shaped floor plan. Against the hull stand two high brick extensions which do not fall under the operation of the Monuments Act.
Description
The mill hull consists of the round brick mill hull which is noticeably tapered from the former gallery level, whilst the upper edge is executed with a special indentation. The mill hull, now consisting of four storeys, is provided with an umbrella-shaped wooden roof that is covered with zinc. On the roof stands a block-shaped extension. The mill hull is provided with a wall plaque indicating a number of abbreviations and the year the mill was built.
Valuation
The mill hull is of general importance:
- because of building-technical and historical values as a recognisable and representative relic of a round stone grain mill from the middle of the 19th century;
- because of cultural-historical values as part of the history of the grain mills of the Netherlands and the industrial development of Overijssel and local history;
