Inleiding
In de museumkelder van hotel Derlon te Maastricht gelegen gerestaureerde Romeinse bouwrestanten en hun archeologische ondergrond. De Romeinse bouwrestanten zijn in 1983 opgegraven en werden in 1987 gerestaureerd. De opstand van hotel Derlon is vanuit het oogpunt van monumentenzorg in 2004 niet van waarde geacht.

In de museumkelder van hotel Derlon gelegen gerestaureerde Romeinse bouwrestanten en hun archeologische ondergrond bestaande uit: (1) een grindweg (circa 200 na Chr.) met daarin nog enkele grotere steenblokken en met een waterput; (2) voorgevel van een heiligdom met toegangspoort (uit de eerste helft van de 2de eeuw na Chr.); (3) een met rode mortel afgewerkt tempelplein (uit de eerste helft van de 2de eeuw na Chr.); (4) een ommuurd perk met (5) een voetstuk van een monument voor Jupiter (beide uit het midden van de 2de eeuw); (6) een met Maaskeien geplaveid weggetje (van vóór onze jaartelling, op een diepte van 6 meter onder het huidige straatpeil); (7) een portaal naast de toegangspoort met hergebruikte sierlijsten (begin 3de eeuw); (8) een als winkeltje aangeduide ruimte (uit het midden van de 2de eeuw); (9) hergebruikte muren en sloopmateriaal ten behoeve van de fundering van een magazijn tegen de binnenzijde van de stadsmuur (4de eeuw).

Restored Roman building remains and their archaeological substructure located in the museum basement of Hotel Derlon consisting of: (1) a gravel road (circa AD 200) with several larger stone blocks still in it and with a well; (2) front façade of a sanctuary with access gate (from the first half of the 2nd century AD); (3) a temple plaza finished with red mortar (from the first half of the 2nd century AD); (4) an enclosed garden bed with (5) a pedestal of a monument to Jupiter (both from the mid-2nd century); (6) a small paved path with Maas stone (from before the Christian era, at a depth of 6 metres below current street level); (7) a portal next to the access gate with reused mouldings (early 3rd century); (8) a space designated as a shop (from the mid-2nd century); (9) reused walls and demolition material for the foundation of a storehouse against the inner side of the city wall (4th century).
