Inleiding
Voormalige GOUDSMEDERIJ uit de negentiende eeuw. Het pand heeft waarschijnlijk een zeventiende eeuwse kern. Het maakt onderdeel uit van de gesloten gevelwand aan de Oude Haven in het historische centrum van Schoonhoven dat als beschermd stadsgezicht is geregistreerd.
Omschrijving
Het pand heeft twee bouwlagen met zolder onder dwarskap met voorschild. De voorgevel is gepleisterd en heeft een gestucte plint. Uiterst links de voordeur met ongelijk verdeeld negenruits bovenlicht. Gemetselde drempel. Naast de voordeur drie zesruitsschuiframen geplaatst binnen één kozijn. Op de verdieping drie zesruitsschuiframen van een groter formaat. Het pand heeft een houten daklijst op geprofileerde klossen. Midden in de dakkap een daklicht dat het atelier verlicht. In de achtergevel hebben beide bouwlagen drie zesruitschuiframen.

De voormalige goudsmederij is van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde

Former GOLDSMITH'S WORKSHOP from the nineteenth century. The building probably has a seventeenth-century core. It forms part of the enclosed facade wall at the Oude Haven in the historic centre of Schoonhoven, which is registered as a protected townscape.

The building has two storeys with an attic under a half-hipped roof with fore-gable. The front facade is plastered and has a stuccoed plinth. At the far left the front door with unevenly divided nine-pane fanlight. Mortared threshold. Next to the front door three six-pane sash windows placed within one frame. On the upper storey three six-pane sash windows of a larger format. The building has a wooden cornice on profiled corbels. In the middle of the roof a skylight that illuminates the workshop. In the rear facade both storeys have three six-pane sash windows.
