Inleiding
Op het achterterrein van Aan 't Ven 7 staat een vreemdsoortige PEELDIVISIEKAZEMAT, K63. Vreemdsoortig, want dit type met een grondvlak van ongeveer 5 bij 9 meter komt elders in de Peel-Raamstelling niet voor. Het is echter niet het enige exemplaar, want de twee andere kazematten (K61 en K62, op het terrein Boeket 16) die deel uitmaken van deze achterhoedestelling zijn min of meer gelijkvormig: een dubbele of geschakelde Peeldivisiekazemat met twee maal het 'standaard' grondoppervlak van 4 bij 4 of 4 bij 5 meter. Omdat dit in principe lokale bouwsels zijn is het niet vreemd dat elke kazemat gebouwd door de Peeldetachement verschillend is van de andere en er -zeker ook in Noord-Brabant- nogal wat unieke exemplaren bestaan. Maar de grote afmetingen zijn deze kazematten toch zeer opmerkelijk te noemen.
Beschrijving
De kazemat is aan vrijwel alle kanten ingekapseld door een (latere) aanbouw van een schuur, welke de kazemat als basis heeft gebruikt. Aan de noordzijde is de kazemat in het geheel niet meer als zodanig herkenbaar. Daarbuiten is de kazemat gaaf en vertoont het object geen sporen van gevechtshandelingen.
Waardering
De kazemat is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het object is architectuur- en bouwhistorisch van belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken, met name in de verwerking van gewapend beton. Het object is ook van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van diverse verdedigingsobjecten- en structuren inzake de nationale landsverdediging.
Het object heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een groter geheel: enerzijds als onderdeel van de landsverdediging (het geheel aan stellingen aan de vooravond van de Tweede Wereldoorlog), en anderzijds als belangrijk (structurerend) onderdeel van het Peelgebied dat als militair landschap cultuurhistorisch van belang is. De kazemat heeft een bijzondere historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid van het gebied. Deze verweving geeft het complex ook een grote belevingswaarde. Verder moet gewezen worden op de gaafheid van het gehele complex. Daarbij is de gehele stelling als grootschalig militair complex en herinnering aan een grootscheeps uitgevoerde verdedigingsmaatregel in relatie met de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Limburg zeldzaam.

Introduction
On the back grounds of Aan 't Ven 7 stands a peculiar PEEL DIVISION CASEMATE, K63. Peculiar, because this type with a ground plan of approximately 5 by 9 metres does not occur elsewhere in the Peel-Raam Line. However, it is not the only example, as the two other casemates (K61 and K62, on the grounds Boeket 16) that form part of this rearguard line are more or less similar: a double or coupled Peel Division casemate with twice the 'standard' ground area of 4 by 4 or 4 by 5 metres. Because these are in principle local constructions, it is not surprising that each casemate built by the Peel detachment differs from the other and there are quite a few unique examples, certainly also in Noord-Brabant. But the large dimensions make these casemates nevertheless to be considered very remarkable.
Description

The object is also of significance for the typological development of various defence objects and structures concerning national land defence.
The object has ensemble values as an essential component of a larger whole: on the one hand as part of land defence (the whole of the lines at the eve of the Second World War), and on the other hand as an important (structuring) component of the Peel area which as a military landscape is of cultural-historical significance. The casemate has a particular historical-spatial relationship with roads, waters and soil conditions of the area. This interweaving also gives the complex great amenity value. Furthermore, attention should be drawn to the integrity of the entire complex. Moreover, the entire line as a large-scale military complex and a reminder of an extensively executed defence measure in relation to the Second World War in Limburg is rare.
