Inleiding
PAKHUIS, gebouwd in 1834 in traditionele trant.
NB: De achtergevel is tevens een dubbele, getrapte klokgevel met gevelindeling conform de voorgevel maar deze is dichtgemetseld op de begane grond en de eerste en vierde verdieping. Tegen de achterzijde is een ander pand gebouwd van twee bouwlagen.
Omschrijving
Het pakhuis is opgetrokken in rode/grauwe baksteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit vier bouwlagen en een kapverdieping onder het zadeldak met de noklijn haaks op de Schie. De voorgevel is een dubbele, getrapte klokgevel met hardstenen aanzetstenen en afgewerkt met uitkragend kops metselwerk. De symmetrische gevel is vijf vensterassen breed. Alle vensters en deuren zijn voorzien van strekse rollagen. In het midden bevinden zich de houten, rondboog hijsdeuren, met boven de bovenste een hijsbalk. De heel licht getoogde vensters met houten zesruits ramen en hardstenen waterdorpels. Centraal op de begane grond bevindt zich de hoge rondboog inrijpoort met dubbele houten openslaande deuren. De poort wordt geflankeerd door hardstenen pilasters. De rollaag is voorzien van een hardstenen sluitsteen met het bouwjaar: 1834. Links van de poort is een rechthoekig venster met een houten zesruits schuifraam en geprofileerde omlijsting. Rechts van de poort is een, hoger in de gevel geplaatst, bijna vierkant venster en een enkele deur.
Boven de hijsdeuren is een houten hijsbalk. In beide geveltoppen bevindt zich een rondlicht met kruisraam.
De linker zijgevel heeft ter hoogte van de tweede en derde verdieping vensterstroken van vier rondboogvensters.
In het interieur is de houten constructie, met name de kapconstructie, van belang.

Description
The warehouse is built in red/grey brickwork on a rectangular floor plan, consisting of four storeys and a roof space under the gabled roof with the ridge line perpendicular to the Schie. The front facade is a double, stepped bell gable with hard stone setting stones and finished with projecting English bond brickwork. The symmetrical facade is five window bays wide. All windows and doors are provided with straight arched lintels. In the centre are the wooden, round arched hoist doors, with above the uppermost a hoist beam. The very slightly arched windows with wooden six-pane casements and hard stone drip mouldings. Centrally on the ground floor is the high round arched carriage entrance with double wooden swing doors.
