Inleiding
Kerkelijk bijgebouw met KOSTERSWONING en CATECHISATIELOKAAL behorende bij het kerkelijk complex van de Nederlandse protestantenbond naar ontwerp van H. Evers uit 1909.
Omschrijving
Het bijgebouw heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en omvat twee bouwlagen met kapverdieping onder een half schilddak. Het pand is vijf vensterassen breed. Aan de westzijde hebben de zuid- en noordgevel over de breedte van één travee een steekkap met puntgevel. Deze travee is hoger opgetrokken en de top kraagt uit aan de westzijde. Aan de zuidgevel bevindt zich in deze travee de entreepartij met ver uitkragende, houten zadeldakvormige overkapping, gedragen door houten consoles. Hierboven bevindt zich een rondboog spaarveld van metselmozaïek waarin een venster is opgenomen en een tegeltableau met de tekst 'VROOMHEID VRIJHEID' en het monogram NPB. De vier kruisvensters, met houten stijlen en nog gedeeltelijk (bovenin) met roedenverdeling, van de begane grond zijn voorzien van metselmozaïek in het boogveld. De verdieping is in 1947 voorzien van schuifvensters met in het bovenvlak een houten roedenverdeling, ter vervanging van de oorspronkelijke vensters die tevens in het benedenvlak voorzien waren van een roedenverdeling.
De westgevel heeft zowel op de begane grond als op de verdieping vier gekoppelde rondboog spaarvelden, waarvan de buitenste van de verdieping zijn voorzien van kruisvensters met roedenverdeling. De terugliggende vlakken van de overige spaarvelden zijn voorzien van tegels. De noordgevel is nagenoeg blind, alleen in de steekkap bevind zich een vierkant venster.
Aan de noord- en zuidgevel bevinden zich ter hoogte van de steekkap gemetselde schoorstenen. Aan de noordgevel is tevens een schoorsteen in de oostelijke hoek.
In het interieur zijn geen waardevolle elementen bewaard gebleven.
Waardering
Kerkelijk bijgebouw met kosterswoning, catechisatielokaal en bestuurskamer gebouwd in 1909 in Neo-Romaanse trant naar ontwerp van H. Evers, van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische, cultuurhistorische, stedenbouwkundige, beeldbepalende en ensemblewaarde. Tevens van belang binnen het oeuvre van H. Evers.

Description
The annexe has a rectangular footprint and comprises two storeys with an attic storey under a half-hipped roof. The building is five window axes wide. On the west side, the south and north facades extend over the width of one bay with a gabled end wall with a pointed gable. This bay is raised higher and the top projects outward on the west side. On the south facade, within this bay, is the entrance arrangement with a far-projecting wooden saddle-roof-shaped canopy, supported by wooden corbels. Above this is a semicircular spandrel of decorative brickwork in which a window is incorporated and a tile tableau bearing the text 'VROOMHEID VRIJHEID' and the monogram NPB. The four cross windows, with wooden mullions and still partially (at the top) with glazing bars, of the ground floor are furnished with decorative brickwork in the arch spandrel. The first floor was provided in 1947 with sash windows with wooden glazing bars in the upper section, replacing the original windows which were also equipped with glazing bars in the lower section.
The west facade has four coupled semicircular spandrels on both the ground floor and the first floor, the outer ones of which on the first floor are furnished with cross windows with glazing bars. The recessed planes of the remaining spandrels are furnished with tiles. The north facade is almost blank, with only a square window in the gabled end.
At the level of the gabled end on the north and south facades are brick chimneys. On the north facade there is also a chimney in the eastern corner.
No valuable elements have been preserved in the interior.
