Inleiding
De dubbele CHAUFFEURSWONING aan de Molstraat behoort tot het complex van 'Garage Centraal'. De woningen werden in 1926 in opdracht van G.C. Jense naar ontwerp van de architect L.C. Kalis gebouwd. De sobere woningen zijn gebouwd in een aan stijl die verwant is aan de late Amsterdamse School. De woningen waren oorspronkelijk naast en boven een poort gebouwd, die toegang gaf tot het binnenterrein van de garage. Deze doorgang is dichtgebouwd. De chauffeurswoning staat in het beschermde stadsgezicht van Delft.
Omschrijving
De dubbele chauffeurswoning is in de zuidoostelijke gevelwand van de smalle Molstraat gesitueerd. Het pand heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en twee bouwlagen onder een schilddak. In het dak is een brede dakkapel met plat dak opgenomen. De vrijwel symmetrische voorgevel telt twee bouwlagen onder een overstekende gootlijst. De met rode baksteen gemetselde eerste en tweede bouwlaag worden van elkaar gescheiden door een brede betonnen latei, die de overspanning van de vroegere poort vormt. De eerste bouwlaag biedt ruimte aan een teruggelegen gevel, met afgeschuinde wanden, waarin de toegangen tot de woningen zijn ondergebracht. De tweede bouwlaag heeft twee zeslichts vensters, waarvan het linker een regelverdeling heeft.

The first and second storeys, constructed of red brick, are separated from one another by a broad concrete lintel, which forms the span of the former gateway.
