Inleiding.
Twee BEELDEN van Maria en Bernadette, geplaatst in een processiebos ten noorden van de O.L. Vrouw van Lourdeskerk en de Lourdesgrot. Het bos is aangelegd in 1935, evenals de vijver die ontstond bij het bouwrijp maken van de grond. In het dichtbegroeide bos staan langs de slingerende paden 3 te beschermen objecten uit ca. 1935. Het in 1946 gebouwde openluchttheater valt buiten de rijksbescherming.
Omschrijving.
1 Het eerste beeld vanaf de ingang van het park is een Mariabeeld. Het staat op een hardstenen sokkel van het torenmodel met rustica met aan de bovenzijde puntige kantelen. Vanuit de vierkante voetplaat ontspringen geschilderde smeedijzeren bladranken. Het stenen beeld van Maria is tot aan de knie beschadigd. Het gekroonde beeld heeft de handen gevouwen en aan de rechterarm een rozenkrans. Het geheel staat in een rond, met bakstenen afgezet bloemperk. 2 Bij de vijver staat op een sokkel van het torenmodel een beeld van de H. Bernadette. De sokkel met een schulprand aan de bovenzijde is van kunststeen. Het beeld is van kalksteen en is gesigneerd: Gebr. v. Eck Eindhoven. Bernadette draagt klompjes en heeft de handen gevouwen. 3 In de as van het beeld van Bernadette een kunststenen bloembak. Deze staat op een getrapte sokkel met drie bollen, waarop de platte schotel rust.
Waardering.
Het processiebos met beelden is van algemeen belang als onderdeel van een complex dat een voorbeeld is van de ontwikkeling van het katholieke geloof in Noord-Brabant in het Interbellum en hangt samen met de bestuurlijke ontwikkeling, waarbij in landbouwontginningen nieuwe nederzettingen werden gesticht, die tegelijk een eigen parochie werden. Het geheel heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de wijze waarop de architect P. Donders een dergelijk parochiecentrum annex bedevaartsoord vorm heeft gegeven. Het gehele complex heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de betekenis voor het aanzien van de streek en is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

The plinth with a shell edge at the top is of artificial stone. The statue is of limestone and is signed: Gebr. v. Eck Eindhoven. Bernadette wears clogs and has folded hands. 3 In the axis of the statue of Bernadette an artificial stone flower box. This stands on a stepped plinth with three knobs, on which the flat bowl rests.
Valuation.
The processional wood with statues is of general importance as part of a complex that exemplifies the development of the Catholic faith in North Brabant in the Interwar period and is connected with the administrative development, whereby new settlements were established in land reclamations, which simultaneously became their own parish. The whole has architectural-historical value as an example of the way in which architect P. Donders gave form to such a parish centre cum pilgrimage site. The entire complex has ensemble value because of its significance for the appearance of the region and has been preserved intact.
