Inleiding
ToegangsHEK behorende bij het complex van de 17de-eeuwse boerderij Vredebest. Tot het monumentale complex behoren ook een wagenschuur en een houten hooiberg. Het hek is vervaardigd in de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw. Het hek bevindt zich aan de inrit tot het erf.
Omschrijving
Het hek bestaat uit gietijzeren hekpijlers met daartussen de smeedijzeren draaihekken met licht gebogen bovenrand en verticale pijlpuntstijlen. Op de hekpijlers de naam van de boerderij 'VREDE' en 'BEST'. De onderste vakken van het hek, met diagonale versteviging, hebben tussen de lange stijlen, kortere pijlpuntstijlen. De kwartronde zijstukken eindigen in een krul en hebben radiale pijlpuntstijlen die vanuit een kleine cirkel vertrekken.

Access GATE belonging to the complex of the 17th-century farmstead Vredebest. The monumental complex also includes a wagon shed and a wooden hay barn. The gate was made in the second half of the 19th century. The gate is located at the entrance drive to the farm.
Description
The gate consists of cast-iron gate piers with between them wrought-iron swing gates with slightly curved top edge and vertical spear-point stiles. On the gate piers the name of the farmstead 'VREDE' and 'BEST'. The lower sections of the gate, with diagonal bracing, have between the long stiles, shorter spear-point stiles. The quarter-round side pieces end in a curl and have radial spear-point stiles that radiate from a small circle.
