Inleiding

Introduction

The COACH HOUSE with horse stable, belonging to the complex Burgemeester Van der Minnelaan 3, was built in 1901. The coach house is built in the style of Neo-Dutch Renaissance. In the 1990s a medical practice was built in the coach house. In this process the western part of the ground floor - the former horse stable - and the entire roof storey were completely rebuilt internally. However, the exterior has remained virtually intact. Gate and shutter openings have been replaced by windows.

Description

The coach house has a rectangular floor plan and the ridge direction of the roof, covered with pantiles with a recessed joint, runs parallel to the street. A narrow connecting passage under a lean-to roof on the right side gable connects the coach house to the residential house.

The coach house is built in yellow Ijssel brickwork, with red brickwork in the arches above the cast iron windows. All facades have a painted plastered plinth. Rod anchors are located at the level of the beam layer.

In the asymmetrical front facade (south side) stand two double doors that provided access to the former coach house. Far left is a door, which provides access to the scullery. This entrance has a surround with diagonally projecting red brickwork.

The asymmetrical rear facade consists of four gable openings, of which the three on the left side are provided with cast iron segmental arch-shaped windows. The right contains a door section with segmental arch-shaped fanlight.

The symmetrical left side gable is three bays wide. The two outer bays are provided with segmental arch-shaped windows with cast iron frames. In the middle bay is a stacking of a door section with a shutter above it (both now windows) and a rose window right at the top of the gable. The windows and door section on the ground floor and the rose window are framed by diagonally projecting red brickwork.

The asymmetrical right side gable borders the passage with lean-to roof. In the first storey stands a segmental arch-shaped window with cast iron frame. Otherwise, the gable has an identical structure as the left side gable. The gable openings here are however framed with an alternation of non-projecting red and yellow brickwork.

In the part of the interior that has not undergone alteration there is a wooden moulding at the height of the windows on the rear side of the coach house. This moulding is decorated on the underside with convex and concave shapes, as well as provided with a diamond-shaped profiling.
