Inleiding
Huis onder schilddak met dakvenster. Gepleisterde lijstgevel (XIX A) met winkelpui in Hollandse Neo-Rennaissancestijl. Het binnen het beschermde stadsgezicht gelegen pand maakt deel uit van de gesloten gevelwand aan de oostkade langs de Lingehaven. De diverse pakhuizen en winkelpuien getuigen ervan dat zich hier vanouds het handelscentrum van de stad bevond.
Omschrijving
Onder een wit gepleisterde, drie traveeën brede lijstgevel bevindt zich een houten winkelpui op een zwart geschilderde, gepleisterde plint. Decoratief uitgevoerde pilasters met ondermeer een geleding met diamantkopmotief fungeren als venster- en hoekpenanten die een hoofdgestel dragen. Ze geleden drie venster- en raamopeningen van ongelijke breedte, waarvan de linker (etalageruit) het breedst is. Rechts bevindt zich een paneeldeur, die naar het woongedeelte leidt en links daarvan een dubbele paneeldeur naar het winkelgedeelte. Elke deur is voorzien van een grote glasruit. De beide bovenlichten hebben een getoogde bovendorpel. Links in de gevel bevindt zich een grote dubbele etalageruit met verticale roedenverdeling boven een relatief lage borstwering met langgerekt diamantkopmotief. Het getoogde bovenlicht heeft een verticale drieruitsroedenverdeling, waarbij de zwikvullingen van het kozijn decoratief uitgevoerd zijn met opengewerkt gietijzeren roosterwerk. Voor de winkelpui ligt een stoep van hardstenen platen.

House under hipped roof with dormer window. Plastered cornice-topped facade (first half of the 19th century) with shop window in Dutch Neo-Renaissance style. The building, located within the protected townscape, forms part of the closed facade wall on the east quay along the Lingehaven. The various warehouses and shop windows testify that this was traditionally the commercial centre of the town.
Description
Beneath a white plastered, three-bay wide cornice-topped facade is a wooden shop window on a black painted, plastered plinth. Decoratively executed pilasters with amongst others a moulding with diamond-head motif serve as window and corner pilasters that carry a main frame. They articulate three window and door openings of unequal width, of which the left (shop window) is the widest. On the right is a panel door leading to the residential part and to its left a double panel door leading to the shop part. Each door is provided with a large glass pane. Both fanlights have an arched top sill. In the facade on the left is a large double shop window with vertical glazing bars above a relatively low parapet with elongated diamond-head motif. The arched fanlight has vertical three-pane glazing bars, with the spandrel fillings of the window frame decoratively executed with openwork cast-iron grille work. In front of the shop window lies a step of hard stone slabs.
