Omschrijving
Groot blokvormig, geheel in baksteen opgetrokken hoofdgebouw, gebouwd in 1769-1771, met twee binnenplaatsen onderdeel van het complex Luthers Diaconiehuis. Gevels met risalieten en hoeklisenen. Op de middenrisaliet een fronton waarin wijzerplaat. Aan beide uiteinden van de voorgevel een brede toegangsdeur met stoepen en zandstenen deuromlijstingen, elk met twee gevellantaarns. De linkerdeur was de toegang tot de bejaardenafdeling, de rechterdeur verleende toegang tot de afdeling van de weeskinderen. Wordt daarom soms ook nog wel 'Wezenpoort' genoemd. Goede roedenverdeling. Rechts naast de voorgevel een tuinmuur met deurpijlers en lantaarns. Links naast het gebouw en verbonden met de 19de eeuwse uitbreiding een gemetselde muur met poort tussen twee posten met natuurstenen dekplaten. Boven de poortingang een lantaarn. Tweemanualig orgel, gemaakt door P. Flaes in 1872. Het instrument heeft 13 registers en mechanische tractuur. Een laatste restauratie is uitgevoerd in 1974 door de fa. Flentrop te Zaandam.

Large block-form building built entirely in brick, constructed in 1769-1771, with two courtyards part of the Lutheran Diaconate House complex. Facades with risalits and corner pilasters. On the central risalit a pediment containing a clock face. At both ends of the front facade a broad entrance door with steps and sandstone door surrounds, each with two facade lanterns. The left door provided access to the elderly wing, the right door gave access to the orphans' wing. It is therefore sometimes also still called the 'Orphans' Door'. Good glazing bar divisions. To the right of the front facade a garden wall with door piers and lanterns. To the left of the building and connected to the 19th-century extension a brick wall with a gate between two posts with natural stone coping. Above the gate entrance a lantern. Two-manual organ, made by P. Flaes in 1872. The instrument has 13 stops and mechanical action. A final restoration was carried out in 1974 by Flentrop of Zaandam.
