Inleiding complexonderdeel 1
Hoofdonderdeel van de historische buitenplaats Groot Haesebroek wordt gevormd door het WOONHUIS van het type landhuis van architect Henri van de Velde, gebouwd in 1928-1929 in de stijl van het Nieuwe Bouwen.
Omschrijving
Monumentaal onderkelderd woonhuis dat zich kenmerkt door de ten opzichte van elkaar zowel in hoogte als gevellijn verspringende bouwmassa's met afgeronde hoeken en platte daken. Het pand heeft merendeels twee bouwlagen, die echter t.o.v. elkaar in hoogte verschillen. Op hoek NO-NW-gevel een eenlaags deel, evenals in het midden van de ZO-gevel. Aldaar voorzien van balkon met iet uitgemetselde balustrade. Entreepartij in NO-gevel eveneens in eenlaags deel.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit gele baksteen in halfsteensverband met diepliggende voegen. Rollagen boven vensters, entreepartijen en ter hoogte van de lekdorpels. Liggende en staande rechthoekige en vierkante vensters met stalen ramen.
Zuidoost-gevel is symmetrisch van opzet en bestaat uit tweelaags hoekpaviljoens, die op de hoeken weer iets lager zijn. Ertussen eenlaags middendeel met uitspringend balkon dat iets uitgemetselde balustrade heeft. Geheel voor hoger tweelaags deel.
Voor zuidwestgevel een gemetseld terras, vanaf de tuin toegankelijk middels trap van vier treden.
In de noordoostgevel bevindt zich de hoofdentree, in iets terugliggend eenlaags bouwdeel. Entreepartij wordt gekenmerkt door hoge natuurstenen plint in de gevel en natuurstenen omlijsting van de deur. Boven de entreepartij een zware luifel met glazen koepels. Metalen deuren met glas, met aan weerszijden lantaarns met melkglas.
In het eenlaags gedeelte van de noordwestgevel dubbel openslaande eenruits houten garagedeuren. Rechts ervan een tweelaags gedeelte met dienstvertrekken. Ook hierin garagedeuren. In het midden van het tweelaags gedeelte een entree met erboven smalle verticale vensters.

Woonhuis van het type landhuis van de historische buitenplaats Groot Haesebroek is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde:

Monumental cellared dwelling house characterised by building masses that are offset in relation to each other both in height and facade line, with rounded corners and flat roofs. The building has mostly two storeys, which however differ in height from each other. On the corner NE-NW facade a single-storey section, as well as in the middle of the SE facade. There provided with a balcony with slightly rendered balustrade. Entrance section in NE facade also in single-storey section.
The facades are constructed of yellow brick in half-brick bond with deep-set joints. Courses above windows, entrance sections and at the height of the water tables. Horizontal and vertical rectangular and square windows with steel frames.
Southeast facade is symmetrical in design and consists of two-storey corner pavilions, which are slightly lower at the corners again. Between them a single-storey central section with projecting balcony which has a slightly rendered balustrade. Entire in front of higher two-storey section.
In front of the southwest facade a rendered terrace, accessible from the garden by means of a staircase of four steps.
