Complexonderdeel 1
De AANLEG van de ALGEMENE BEGRAAFPLAATS wordt gekenmerkt door een landschappelijk opzet met kronkelende paden en glooiingen in combinatie met een formele aanleg rond het aulacomplex aan de noordwestzijde van de begraafplaats. Aan de noordzijde loopt vanaf de Dodeweg een korte oprijlaan naar het rechthoekige voorplein met in het midden een rechthoekig plantsoen, dat grenst aan het aulacomplex. Aan de zuidzijde van het aulacomplex ligt een rechthoekig plein, dat links en rechts aansluit op een in zuidelijke richting lopende grote laan. Tussen de beide, ten opzichte van elkaar wigvormig lopende lanen, die eindigen in een rotonde, is een groot gazon gesitueerd, beplant met solitairbomen. Aan weerszijden van de lanen liggen graven. In overeenstemming met bodemgesteldheid van het terrein bestaat de beplanting van de begraafplaats voor het merendeel uit naaldbomen, coniferen en rhododendronstruiken. De paden zijn deels onverhard. Aan de oostzijde van het voorplein ligt het Russisch ereveld. Dit gedeelte van de begraafplaats is rechthoekig van vorm en heeft een geometrische aanleg met aan het einde van de middenas een gedenknaald. Aan weerszijden van de middenas liggen de graven, alle voorzien van een identieke steen uit 1975 (vallen buiten de bescherming). Deze begraafplaats wordt omgeven door een eenvoudig gemetselde muur, waarin zich aan de westzijde een doorgang bevindt, gemarkeerd door een vierkant gemetselde hekpijler bekroond door een bolvormige vaas.
Waardering

The LAYOUT of the GENERAL CEMETERY is characterised by a landscape design with winding paths and undulations combined with a formal layout around the aula complex on the north-western side of the cemetery. On the north side, a short access drive runs from the Dodeweg to a rectangular forecourt with a rectangular planted area in the middle, which borders the aula complex. On the south side of the aula complex lies a rectangular plaza, which connects on the left and right to a large avenue running in a southerly direction. Between the two avenues, which run in a wedge shape in relation to each other and end in a roundabout, a large lawn is situated, planted with solitary trees. Graves are located on either side of the avenues. In accordance with the soil conditions of the site, the planting of the cemetery consists largely of conifers and rhododendron shrubs. The paths are partly unpaved. On the east side of the forecourt lies the Russian Field of Honour. This section of the cemetery is rectangular in form and has a geometric layout with a memorial monument at the end of the central axis. On either side of the central axis lie the graves, all provided with an identical stone from 1975 (falling outside the protection). This cemetery is surrounded by a simple brick wall, in which there is a passage on the west side, marked by a square brick gate pillar crowned by a spherical urn.
