Inleiding
Op het terrein van Duin en Bosch gelegen TRAMREMISE in Ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl gebouwd in 1914. Oorspronkelijk bevond de remise zich achter het hoofdgebouw, aan de tramspoorbaan van Duin en Bosch naar station Castricum. De tram reed van 1914-1920 op paardenkracht, daarna electrisch. In 1938 is de lijn opgeheven.
N.B. De remise is op onderdelen gewijzigd.
Omschrijving
Op een rechthoekige plattegrond, in gerabatte delen opgetrokken bouwlichaam onder een met rode holle pannen gedekt zadeldak met doorlopend, licht geknikt linker dakschild en rechte, fijn geprofileerde windveren. Het houtskelet is op een in rood/grauw bakstenen kruisverband gemetselde plint geplaatst. Aan de lange zijden goten op klossen.
De op het zuidwesten gelegen voorgevel heeft links een paar getoogde paneeldeuren. Rechts bevond zich oorspronkelijk een grote doorgang met dubbele deur.
De linkerzijgevel (NW) heeft rechts een liggend achtruits raam en links een deur geflankeerd door twee dezelfde ramen.
In de achtergevel (NO) bevond zich oorspronkelijk eveneens een doorgang als voor.
De rechterzijgevel (ZO) heeft twee twaalfruits vensters en in het midden twee gekoppelde zesruits schuifvensters.
Waardering
De tramremise uit 1914 is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het ziekenhuiscomplex Duin en Bosch. Als onderdeel van het industriële erfgoed. Vanwege de ensemblewaarde.

TRAM DEPOT located on the grounds of Duin en Bosch, built in Craft-traditional style in 1914. Description
A building constructed on a rectangular ground plan, on rebated sections, under a gabled roof covered with red pantiles with a continuous, slightly angled left roof slope and a straight, finely moulded wind brace. The timber frame is placed on a plinth of red/grey brick in English bond. Gutters on brackets on the long sides.
The front facade located to the southwest has on the left a pair of arched panel doors. On the right there was originally a large opening with double door.
The left side facade (NW) has on the right a horizontal eight-pane window and on the left a door flanked by two identical windows.
In the rear facade (NE) there was originally likewise an opening as before.
The right side facade (SE) has two twelve-pane windows and in the centre two coupled six-pane sash windows.
Valuation
