Omschrijving
HERDENKINGSMONUMENT bestaande uit een op een hoge stoel gelijkende stèle op een iets bredere bakstenen basis met een smeedijzeren hek tussen muurtjes met hardstenen dekplaten. Tussen de steunberen bevindt zich een kleinere plaat Bentheimer zandsteen met tekst. Daarboven bevindt zich een hardstenen kalf en een grotere zandstenen plaat met de tekst O CRUX AVE SPES UNICA' en een kruis, waarin een rozenstruik met een hart. Het monument heeft aan de bovenzijde de letters R.I.P.' in een plaat van Bentheimer zandsteen en een gewelfde, hardstenen beëindiging met profielrand. De zijkanten zijn voorzien van een entasis en een tanding aan de bovenkant.

- Van architectuur- en kunsthistorische waarde als een goed voorbeeld van een herdenkingsmonument in Um 1800-stijl. Het eenvoudige doch zorgvuldig gedetailleerde monument valt op door de hoogwaardige esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp, de detaillering en het materiaalgebruik zoals het natuurstenen relief aan de voorzijde van het monument.
- Van stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de ligging op de Algemene Begraafplaats. Het monument is gelegen in de as van een van de centrale lanen van de begraafplaats waardoor het monument van bijzondere betekenis is voor het aanzien van de begraafplaats. Het monument vormt het hoofdonderdeel van het herdenkingscomplex en vormt aldus een essentieel onderdeel hiervan.
- Van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een historisch gegeven. Het monument herinnert aan de in Nederland tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog in vluchtelingenkampen opgenomen Belgische oorlogsvluchtingen in het algemeen en aan de in Nunspeet als gevolg van een epidemie overleden vluchtelingen in het bijzonder.

COMMEMORATIVE MONUMENT consisting of a stele resembling a high chair on a slightly wider brick base with a wrought-iron fence between buttresses with hardstone coping stones. Between the buttresses there is a smaller plate of Bentheimer sandstone with text. Above this there is a hardstone calf and a larger sandstone plate with the text 'O CRUX AVE SPES UNICA' and a cross, in which a rose bush with a heart. The monument has at the top the letters 'R.I.P.' in a plate of Bentheimer sandstone and an arched, hardstone termination with moulded edge. The sides are provided with an entasis and toothing at the top.
