The register's description

Complex component A The large farmhouse has a rectangular ground plan and consists of two storeys with facades laid in alternating bond. Around a part of the facades there is a rendered plinth at the bottom. At the top, the facades are finished with a continuous frieze with a profiled gutter moulding. The building is covered by a composite roof. It consists of a hipped roof with the ridge parallel to the Rijksstraatweg and two hipped roofs standing perpendicular to it. This creates a U-shaped roof, which is entirely covered with flush old Dutch tiles. On the roof are three brick chimneys, one of which is on the right roof ridge.

The FRONT FACADE of the building has a symmetrical layout with five bays. The middle bay contains the entrance section which consists of a modern front door in a frame with a single-pane fanlight and a wooden pilaster surround with a closing cornice. In front of the door are two hardstone entrance steps. On either side of the entrance are two 6-pane sash windows with an enclosing one-and-a-half brick bond. The upper floor contains five 4-pane sash windows with a brick bond.

The LEFT SIDE FACADE has on the ground floor four (probably) 6-pane sash windows with blinds. Between these is a side door with a fanlight. The building is cellared on this side. The upper floor has four 4-pane sash windows. To the left, an intermediate section connects, which links the farmhouse with the adjacent flood barn. This intermediate section is covered with a steep gabled roof and contains an access door.

The REAR FACADE is not fully visible due to dense vegetation. The upper floor has on the left a 4-pane sash window and on the right a window that can be closed by shutters. This is probably also a 4-pane sash window. Both windows are at unequal distances from each other. On the ground floor there is a rear entrance with a multi-pane sash window to the left of it and a small window to the right of it. To the right in the facade there is also a multi-pane sash window. It is uncertain whether there is also an access to the left of this. To the right against the facade, the intermediate section connecting the farmhouse with the flood barn adjoins. The RIGHT SIDE FACADE is only partially visible due to vegetation. On the ground floor there are in any case three 6-pane sash windows, while on the upper floor there are three 4-pane sash windows and a small window.

Valuation:

FARMHOUSE MALSENBURG from the third quarter of the nineteenth century.

- Of architectural-historical importance as a well and authentically preserved example of a farmhouse with a dwelling that has grown into an urbanized appearance. Notable is, among other things, the balanced front facade layout with the finely designed entrance section and the authenticity in detailing.

- Of urban planning importance because of its prominent location on a terp on the Rijksstraatweg, of which the west side was built as a termination of the old village common with farmhouses. The farmhouse is an essential part of this historically developed layout.
